Prof. Dr. Mariann VERES SOMOSI 
Dean, Professor, Director of the Institute of Management Sciences

She is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Director of the Institute of Management Sciences. She is a mechanical engineer and her research interests are focused on project management, social innovation, organisational change, competence management, performance management. She is a regular trainer of the State Audit Office of Hungary. Author and co-author of nearly 40 journal articles (in English and Hungarian) and 26 books in English on social innovation, performance management, competence management. She has been an active researcher for more than 30 years, with a special focus on economic development and networking. Her research group is working on the development of neuro-fuzzy solutions for generating social innovation.  She is an active participant in the 3rd mission of the University of Miskolc, where she is responsible for faculty and professional coordination. In the faculty's doctoral school, she aims to sensitise students to social innovation by announcing topics and the social innovation subject. She is the active author and editor of the White Paper on Social Innovation.
 
Katalin LIPTÁK, PhD in economics, doctor of laws

Katalin is an associate professor, vice-dean for study affairs of University of Miskolc, Faculty of Economics and head of department of Labour Market and Employment Policy. Her research topic is the labour market, especially in the Central-Eastern-European region. The essence of her professional interest is how changed the labour market and the expectations of employees. She is the member of the Hungarian Regional Science Association till 2008. She is editorial board member of the Eastern European Business and Economics Journal. She is editor-in-chief of Socialis Series in Social Science journal. Katalin graduated in Economist at the University of Miskolc, Faculty of Economics in 2008 and she graduated in Law at the University of Miskolc, Faculty of Law in 2015. She holds a PhD in Management and Business Administration.

Szabolcs Nagy is a habilitated university professor and an experienced researcher in marketing, social sciences and sustainability with more than 20 years of practical business and research experience. He currently works as the Associate Dean for International Relations at the Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc. He is also the Head of the Department of Marketing Communication and Strategy at the Institute of Marketing and Tourism. He is an experienced networker with a strong industrial background. He holds a PhD in management and organisational sciences. He has participated in several international and national academic and business research projects. Currently, he is involved in an EU-funded project as an education innovation project manager, aiming to improve both the quality and accessibility of higher education at the University of Miskolc. He is also leading the Hungarian research team in an international research project "Opportunities and prospects for the development of strategic alliances of innovative organisations in Hungary and Russia in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals". Szabolcs has a complex vision, can see the big picture, but also possesses excellent organisational skills. He also has strong theoretical and practical analytical competencies. He is a member of the editorial board of four international journals.
 
Zoltán MUSINSZKI, PhD

Zoltán Musinszki Ph.D. is an associate professor, head of institute and vice-dean for Scientific and Accreditation Affairs at the Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc, Hungary. His research interests are focused on management control, strategic decision support and the financial data, digitalization and the controller, cost accounting. He is currently researching the evolution and development of controlling and cost systems for SMEs and their social innovation aspects. He is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee and of the Management and Controlling Association as well as of the Editorial Board of Controller Info. He is furthermore editor-in-chief of Hantos Periodika and chairman of the Editorial Board.

Tekla SZÉP, PhD

She is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Institute of World and Regional Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc. Currently, besides her other preoccupations, she is an institutional EIT KIC Raw Materials Coordinator and member of the EIT KIC RM Steering Committee. She is an economist and her research interests are focused on environmental and energy economics with special emphasis given to the circular economy, industry 4.0, energy policy, energy transition, energy efficiency and energy poverty. In addition to her work, she has also directed a variety of national and international EU funded projects. She has vast experience in proposal writing, project management and evaluation, policy monitoring. Tekla has been cooperating with consortium partners and colleagues from different European universities, companies, national and international organizations, governments. She holds a PhD in Management and Business Administration.

Having been the institutional Erasmus coordinator between 2014 and 2021, he has experience in international research and mobility projects. Mária VÁRKONYI JUHÁSZ, PhD

She is an Associate Professor and Head of the Institute of Accounting and Finance, Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc. She is an auditor as well and she has a qualification for the application of IFRS. She is the member of the Certification Board of Auditors. She is an economist and her research interests are focused on the accountancy approach of value and evaluation and the practice of fair valuation. She graduated at the University of Miskolc with a Masters Degree in Economics. Then she earned an MBA degree at the University of Miskolc and Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen. She went on to complete her studies with a PhD degree at the University of Miskolc.
 
Zoltán NAGY, PhD

He is an Associate Professor and Director of the Institute of World and Regional Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc. Currently, he is the institutional project coordinator in the EFOP-3.6.2-16-2017-00007 project, titled ‘Aspects on the development of intelligent, sustainable and inclusive society: social, technological, innovation networks in employment and the digital economy’. He is an economist specialised in International Economics and a teacher of Geography and History. He holds a PhD in Earth Sciences, social geography and regional development. His research interests are focused on urban and regional development, spatial structure, with special emphasis given industry 4.0 and smart cities. In addition to his work, he has also directed a variety of national and international EU funded projects.
 
Dóra SZENDI, PhD

She is an Assistant Professor of the Institute of World and Regional Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc. Since 2016 besides that, she is the secretary of the Hantos Elemér Doctoral School of Business, Management and Regional Sciences, where she contacts with the students and helps the meetings of the committees by preparing protocols. She is an economists and her main research field is regional sciences, the analysis of territorial inequalities with special regards on peripheral regions in Central Eastern Europe. She holds a PhD also in this research topic. Related to her research, she was honoured with the Regional Studies Association Award for Best International Conference Paper in Student and Early Career Category. Besides that, she has experiences in project works; like contribution to spatial development strategies, membership in EU founded projects. She has knowledge in several statistical and spatial econometric tools.
 
Prof. Dr. Tamás T. SIKOS

As Head of Hantos Elemér Doctoral School of Business, Management and Regional Sciences his main goal is mentoring young talented researchers. His research focuses on the methodological and GIS issues of regional sciences and local issues of retail. His book entitled The Application of Mathematical-Statistical Methods in Territorial Research is considered a basic work in the profession with which he established the new application of the quantitative methods research methodology. His research in Hungarian villages and towns is unavoidable in the literature of nowadays. As the Hungarian founder of marketing geography, his main field of research focuses on the processes in retail space, shopping malls, and vulnerability of food supply chains. He actively participates in professional and scientific public life, besides being an active member of different committees of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.  He is a supporter of Hungarian scholarship across the border and with his organizing work, he helped found the Hungarian Society of Scientists and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Council in Slovakia. Between 2004 and 2011 he joined the Faculty of Economics of János Selye University as a founding dean.
 
 
Dániel KUTTOR, PhD

In 2002 Dániel Kuttor was graduated at the Faculty of Economics in Miskolc, major in European Union and International Economic Relations. His PhD research area is the Regional development in the Visegrad (East Central European) countries. He earned his PhD in 2010. He has published his main articles, books on spatial aspects of economic transition and structural change, industrialization, GIS. He has coordinated more international research projects (FP6, INTERREG, IVF, CBC, etc) and gained a great experience in the field of international cooperation. He has been guest lecturer and visiting scholar of many different universities (Beijing, Glasgow, Katowice, Kosice, Tbilisi). Currently he is a co-director of the local Chinese (Confucius) Institute as well.
 
Noémi HAJDU, PhD

She is associate professor at the Institute of Marketing and Tourism, Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc. She has experience in marketing, sales, international trade, digital marketing and consumer behaviour. She also teaches in the English MBA courses. Her research interests are marketing efficiency and international marketing. She holds an Msc degree in Economics and in Teacher of Economics. Noémi is always keen to learn the latest pedagogical methods to enrich her lectures. She usually trains her colleagues to gamify teaching and to show the latest programmes. Her motto is: "Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching". She cooperates in EU-funded projects at the University and supports the project meetings and trainings with her English skills. She also speaks German and has been learning Chinese since 2018.She participates in Erasmus and Erasmus+ exchanges for students and teachers and writes and updates these proposals. She has a PhD in Digital Marketing.
