As part of the ERASMUS+ program funded by the European Commission, the Faculty of Economics, University of Miskolc had the pleasure of hosting Associate Professors Eka Lekashvili, Rusudan Seturidze, and Davit Sikharulidze from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Georgia. Their visit took place from May 12 to May 16, 2025.

During their stay, our Georgian colleagues delivered lectures, engaged with both academic and administrative staff, and held productive discussions aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration. We were also delighted to welcome them to the Confucius Institute at our university, where they met with the two directors, Dr. Dániel Kuttor and Jing Hao. Further meetings took place with Dr. Katalin Lipták and Dr. Noémi Hajdu, enriching the exchange of ideas and fostering future cooperation.

In a reciprocal exchange, Prof. Dr. Szabolcs Nagy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics, and Mr. Tamás Bakó visited TSU between 19-23 May 2025, as part of our shared commitment to internationalization and academic exchange. Our delegation met with Professor Giorgi Gaghnidze, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, and Ms. Tea Gergedava, Head of the International Relations Department at TSU. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in the areas of teaching, research, and academic mobility.

The partnership between the University of Miskolc and Tbilisi State University has been formally in place since 2017 through a memorandum of understanding, which serves as a foundation for our Erasmus+ mobility activities. Looking ahead, both institutions are committed to deepening this collaboration through joint doctoral supervision, peer reviewing, participation in academic journal editorial boards, joint research initiatives, and expanded student and faculty exchange programs.

We value our partnership with TSU and look forward to continued growth in our cooperation.
