Istanbul Quantitative Lectures is glad to announce the program for 2016. This year we are offering 3 different courses through one week period (total of 24 hours) which is worth 10 ECTS Credits. Our courses will take place at the secure University main campus area between 27th of June and 2nd of July 2016.

Our courses will take place at the secure University main campus area between 27th of June and 2nd of July 2016.

 

 "Qualitative Content Analysis (Text Mining)" by Professor Udo Kuckartz from Philipps University Marburg, Germany. Professor Kuckartz is a famous scientist at content analysis and text mining. Professor Kuckartz has books on Computerized and qualitative content analysis. Course will cover both qualitative and quantitative content analyses methods and will include hands on practical examples.

 

"Advanced Survey Methods and Analysis" by emeritus Professor Allan McCutcheon from University of Lincoln, Nebraska- Gallup Research Center , U.S. Professor McCutcheon has several publications and books on survey methodology, latent class analysis, and quantitative analyses methods on social sciences. The course will focus on survey methodology and proper data analyses techniques.

 

"Data Mining with R" by Associate Professor Luis Torgo from University of Porto, Portugal. Professor Torgo is working on Data Mining and published several papers and books on the subject. Professor Torgo is very well known by his books on Data Mining with R, which has been translated and published in many languages. The course will focus on Data Mining using R and RStudio software and will include also a practical session for implementation.

 

The details of the ISTQL 2016 organization, course details, course fees and the application form could be found on our website (www.istql.com).  The organization is open to both students with required background and academicians who would like to widen their horizons. Student who wish to take the exam and pass will be getting 10 ECTS credits and all participants will receive a certificate of participation.
