In the category of the transitional economies based on their geographical proximity and their common historical past can be defined and can be marked off the group of the Visegrad Fours.

  • the measurement of competitiveness in the changed condition system,
  • the position of the transitional economies to the world’s driving countries;
  • the position of the East-Central-European countries (for his regions, his settlements) in the European economic space;
  • the effects on competitiveness of various factors (human, economic, infrastructural, environmental);
  • the effect on competitiveness of the infrastructural conditions,
  • the examination of developmental paths.
